Job Purpose :

To ensure knowledge and understanding of all appropriate security responsibilities as detailed in job description and other relevant policy documents
To ensure that standards set at security training courses are adhered to. To ensure a knowledge and understanding of all appropriate security responsibilities as detailed in the Aircraft Operator Security Programme(AOSP)
To advise the Security Supervisor of any security occurrence or system failure and to identify and report any situation of potential risk or concern affecting security
Perform duties in a manner that supports both the team and individual’s performance
Perform duties in accordance with training provided and departmental procedures
Carry out appropriate facility inspections in accordance with departmental procedures
Carry out patrols and searches in accordance with departmental procedures
Maintain, operate and test security equipment in accordance with and at intervals prescribed in relevant departmental instructions and highlight or act upon any equipment failures or performance deterioration in accordance with departmental instructions

Job Description :

Primary Job Duties

1. Screening of Persons

To ensure all ground personnel who are required to enter the aircraft are not in possession of explosive devices, incendiary devices, firearms or weapons.
To ensure no double standard in the screening of persons

2. Staff / Passenger Profiling and Assessments.

To ensure only staff / passengers have a genuine and valid documentations in Security Restricted Area (SRA) and before enter to the aircraft

3. Protection of Aircraft (Nigh stop & Long Lay Over)

To deny unauthorized persons and vehicles from having access into vicinity of aircraft
To check and ensure all ground personnel working at aircraft site to not have their possession explosive devices, incendiary devices and other security risk items that may use to endanger aircraft

4. Guarding of Aircraft Step

To ensure only authorize persons board aircraft
To check and ensure no weapons, explosive and incendiary devices are smuggled into aircraft by persons authorized to have access into aircraft cabin
To ensure only bona-fide passengers aboard aircraft

5. Guarding of Aircraft Holds

To ensure only security cleared baggage / cargo are loaded into aircraft holds
To ensure baggage loaded in aircraft holds are not tampered
To check and record all damaged baggage on arrival
To deny pilferage activities

6. Guarding of Baggage (Make-Up Area)

To ensure only security cleared baggage / cargo are loaded into containers or trolleys
To check and ensure baggage bear security seals/sticker.

Otherwise they must be returned to the screening authority for re- screening and affixing of seals/stickers

To prevent interference of security cleared baggage
To deny pilferage activities

7. Guarding of Baggage (Break-Up Area)

To check and record all damaged baggage/parcels on arrival
To deny pilferage activities

8. Check-In Counters Duties

To ensure checked baggage are security checked and cleared
To check the authenticity of the security seals/stickers
To undertake baggage count

9. Screening of Catering Uplift

To ensure NO firearms, weapons, explosive devices and incendiary devices are concealed in catering items/facilities
To ensure food prepare for uplift are not contaminated

10. Aircraft Search Procedures

To detect any explosive, incendiary devices or other security items that may be planted in aircraft, to prevent all acts of mischief

11. Sealed of Aircraft Doors (Nigh stop)

To deny unauthorized persons access into aircraft cabin
To ensure that aircraft clear from any explosive device, incendiary devices and other security risk items after the Engineering or Ground staff do their task and leaving an aircraft
To ensure that no removal of company properties and secure in the cabin

12. Special Screening Procedures (VVIP/VIP)

To deny unauthorized persons access into aircraft cabin
To ensure that safety of all passengers in high priority

13. Handling Carriage Person of Custody

To establish general guidelines for Security Department in conducting duties pertaining to Handling Carriage Person of Custody

14. Investigation(s)

To establish general guidelines for Aviation Security Department in conducting investigations

15. Handling of Bomb Threats

To handle and manage of bomb threats that occur in company operations involving staff, passengers and airport authorities

16. Employees Failed in Security Vetting

Guidance in managing staff found to have failed in the security vetting process and refused to serve in restricted area as conducted by the Chief of Government Security Office, Prime Minister’s Department

17. Handling of Disruptive/Abusive Passengers

To handle and manage of disruptive/abusive passengers that occur in company operations involving staff, business and properties Upon receiving reports from staff on duty of an uncontrollable situation triggered by passengers either at the check in counter, ticketing counter, departure gate or on staff individually during duty time, AVSEC company must immediately go to the scene to control the situation

18. Response to Acts of Unlawful Interference

AVSEC will assist management to control and ensure the situation does not escalate

19. Handling of Cyber Threats

Identify critical information systems, software and hardware used in SKS Airways operations

Job Requirements

All qualifications must comply with provincial human rights legislation.

Qualifications include:

1. Education

Min requirement is Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)

2. Specialized knowledge

Well verse in spoken and written in Bahasa Malaysia and English

3. Skills

Computer literate
Good interpersonal communication skills
Good problem-solving skills

4. Abilities

Able to work in teams and any activities that need physical
Know how to planning and approach a given learning or tasks

5. Other characteristics such as personal characteristics

Age below 30 years old

6. Professional Certification

Have attended Basic Aviation Security Training or any related training is advantages

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
