Your responsibilities include:

Engage in the full spectrum of accounting functions (AP, AR, GL), treasury operations and taxation for timely and accurate preparation of financial reports.
Partner with respective business stakeholders to align processes, troubleshooting abnormalities and identifying potential improvements in financial efficiency.
Work closely with the Shared Service team in managing the entities’ receivables , payables and claimbacks processes.
Close monitoring of retail transactions particularly on claimbacks, credit controls, credit limit utilization, inventory control and inventory reporting.
Perform reconciliations of customer, vendor and balance sheet account reconciliations.
Supporting the Head of Finance to provide in-depth analysis of the business and implement appropriate follow up action plans.
Participate in stock counts as necessary including management of the stock count results and follow ups.
Any other ad hoc duties and special projects as assigned

Who we look for - the ideal profile:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree
Finance/Accountancy/Banking
5+ years’ experience as an Accountant. Background in retail and familiarity with inventory management is highly preferred.
Proficiency in relevant accounting software preferably in Oracle Netsuite
Good command in English both spoken and written
Good organization skills and ability to work under pressure
Can thrive in a fast-paced, start-up, and Ecommerce environment
Must be highly analytical and a fast learner
Self-motivated and result-oriented
