Description

An experienced cabinet maker is a skilled craftsperson who builds and installs high-quality cabinets for kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and other spaces. This role requires a strong understanding of woodworking principles, proficiency with various tools and machinery, and a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities:

1. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and customer specifications to ensure accurate cabinet construction
2. Select appropriate materials, such as wood, plywood, and hardware, based on project requirements
3. Operate a variety of woodworking machinery safely and efficiently, including saws, sanders, drills, and routers
4. Cut, shape, and assemble cabinet components with precision, ensuring proper fit and alignment
5. Apply finishes, such as stains, varnishes, or paint, to achieve the desired aesthetic
6. Install cabinets on-site, ensuring proper leveling, plumbing, and functionality
7. Maintain a clean and organized work area
8. May assist with designing custom cabinets for clients
9. Repair and refinish existing cabinets

Qualifications:
1. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a cabinet maker
2. Proven ability to build high-quality cabinets that meet deadlines and client expectations
3. Strong understanding of woodworking techniques and principles
4. Proficiency with a wide range of woodworking machinery and hand tools
5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
7. Good physical condition, as the job requires lifting, standing, and bending for extended periods
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (if interacting with clients)
