Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. As an integral member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate financial records by recording transactions, posting journal entries, and reconciling accounts.
Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic planning initiatives.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, issuing payments, and following up on outstanding balances.
Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures. Prepare tax returns and liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders as necessary.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
Stay updated on relevant accounting regulations and industry developments to ensure compliance and best practices.
Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA certification preferred. Proven experience working in accounting or finance roles, preferably in a corporate setting.

Strong proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities with the capacity to collaborate across departments.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment. Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP.
Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior in handling confidential information.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
