As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in overseeing the financial health of our organization. You will be responsible for managing accounting activities, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to senior management. This role requires a high level of accuracy, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget variances and provide insightful analysis to support decision-making.
General Ledger Management: Oversee general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing processes.
Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Provide recommendations based on analysis findings.
Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements. Coordinate with external tax advisors as needed.
Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and maintain financial integrity. Regularly review and update control processes.
Audit Support: Act as a primary point of contact for external auditors during financial audits. Prepare audit schedules and assist in addressing audit inquiries.
Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash balances to ensure liquidity needs are met. Implement strategies to optimize cash flow efficiency.
Financial Systems Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems and software. Provide training and support to finance team members as needed.
Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff. Provide guidance on complex accounting issues and foster a culture of continuous learning and development.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA certification preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work output.
