JOB PURPOSE

To research, analyze, and prepare the production of various types of industry reports on the fisheries sector (capture fisheries and aquaculture), in a timely manner, that would provide fundamental industry intelligence and information to the Bank’s Management, Credit and Risk personnel with a view of improving the quality of credit assessments.
Data preparation for fisheries sectors.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Achieve the Profit Before Tax for the Department, as per approved annual budget.
Delivery of industry reports in a timely manner with the latest information available.
To support the 5S objective of the Bank Management/Division/Department.
Support bank-wide initiatives in relation to environment and community.
Improve the quality of credit assessment of the Bank by providing fundamental industry intelligence information, specific to the fisheries sector, for fact verification, comparison and decision making.
Conduct knowledge sharing session through uploading reports into Intranet for Bank’s staff.
Continuous self-development and understanding of the fisheries industry.
Strive to achieve the desired minimum rating stipulated by the Bank based on bank-wide survey.
Prepare Independent Industry Assessments, Industry Assessment Reports, Agro-Industry Outlook, Agro-Industry Updates, Industry Alert Reports.
Data gathering for the fisheries sub-sectors as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Economics/ Agriculture Science (Aquaculture/Fisheries) or related disciplines.
Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in related field industry, particular in the agriculture aquaculture/fisheries sector.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Advanced knowledge in related agriculture field industry and key economic sectors in Malaysia
Able to work under minimum supervision and meeting deadlines.
Possess good writing and presentation skills.
Good in Microsoft Office tools.
