Job Description:

1. Manage a team of internal software developers to develop software applications for both internal and external clients.

2. Work in the capacity of a systems analyst to understand the client’s needs and propose the appropriate design solution to meet their requirements.

3. Work in the capacity of a software lead developer to code and develop software applications.

4. Lead by example through hands-on involvement with the team in designing the system and coding the software application.

5. Engage clients to solicit new projects and manage their expectations through close consultations and bridging them with the software development team.

6. Manage the development of each software application as a project, by applying best practices in project management to ensure the success of the development.

7. Prepare the necessary reports and documentation as required by the client, such as final reports, instruction manuals, etc.

8. Supervise vendors and the internal team to conduct the necessary tests, such as UAT and security tests.

9. Provide regular training to the internal development team to improve their capacity and capabilities in software development and new technologies.

10. From time to time, engage in experimenting with new technologies, such as generative AI, to assist the organization in understanding these new technologies better, and perhaps apply them in actual business cases.

11. Any other tasks assigned by the Superior/Head of Division, which is in the interest of MIGHT.

Qualification:

Degree in Computer Science or related qualification.

Working Experience:

Minimum of 10 years of work experience, with at least 5 years in managing the development of software applications.

Skills/Competencies:

1. Experienced in managing and leading software development projects from ideation through to production.

2. Must be highly proficient in the C# software development language, and the SQL and Python scripting languages.

3. Knowledgeable in software backend development, relational databases, and data model design.

4. Experienced in analysing business processes and translating clients’ requirements to software specifications.

5. Experienced in developing software utilizing Microsoft’s .NET Core technologies, such as Blazor, MAUI, and WPF.

6. A good understanding of computer science fundamentals, such as computational algorithms, data structures, software and hardware architectures.

7. Familiar with the various software test requirements for software deployment, such as UAT, penetration test, etc.

8. Knowledgeable in project management skills, such as time management, documentation, problem-solving, and client management.

9. Proficient in the use of software development tools and environments, such as Visual Studio IDE, SSMS, web APIs, etc.

10. Exceptional technical and report-writing skills.

11. Proficient in both spoken and written English.

12. A good understanding of Generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) and how to apply it in business cases.

13. A good understanding of mathematics and statistics, such as linear regression and statistical testing.

14. Other languages, such as C/C++, Javascript, and R-programming, in an advantage.

15. Good interpersonal skills, independent, inquisitive, and a team player.
