Julie Tomberlin MD PA is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller and Coder to join our team remotely. The ideal candidate will have a background in pediatric billing and coding, excellent communication skills, and be comfortable with making collection calls.

Responsibilities:

Accurately code pediatric medical procedures and diagnoses using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.

Submit insurance claims and ensure timely reimbursement.

Review and resolve coding discrepancies.

Follow up on unpaid claims and handle billing inquiries.

Contact patients to collect outstanding balances.

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all healthcare regulations.

Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients.

Requirements:

Proven experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a pediatric setting.

Certification in Medical Billing and Coding (CPC, CCA, or equivalent).

Proficient in using billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.

Strong understanding of insurance guidelines and healthcare regulations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Comfortable making collection calls to patients.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
