Responsibilities:

To conduct occupational health consultation and management of employees e.g. Medical Surveillance, Return To Work & work-related Noise Exposure Regulation.
To interpret and explain results of investigations to the employee and employer and specify further action as necessarily.
To notify cases of occupational diseases and poisoning to DOSH and employer.
To assist in implementation, audit/evaluation of occupational health program in workplace.
To provide periodic education and advice to employees and employer on workplace health and safety issues.
To maintain medical records of employees during the course of employment and post termination.
To develop SOPs and work instructions pertaining to health issues/ related activities.
To advice medical removal / job modification if employee not fit to work.
To investigate cause of the occupational disease and poisoning, and recommendation for remedial actions, help facilitate treatment, rehabilitation, disability assessment, return to work and/or compensation.
To involve in development of Occupational Health & Safety management system for the organization.

Requirements:

Recognized Medical Degree by Malaysia Medical Council.
Registered with Malaysian Medical Council with valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) and valid Occupational Health Doctor (OHD) license.
Must possess a recognized medical degree with at least certificate / post graduate Diploma in Occupational Health recognized by Department of Safety and Health (DOSH).
Excellent knowledge of safety and OSHA Regulations.
Immense knowledge of medical policies and organizational procedures.
5 years’ experience in Occupational Health Practices.
