Folia is a new concept cafe & restaurant coming to the outskirts of Penang Georgetown in 2024. Our aim is to be the best quality farm-to-table venue in the greater Penang area, with a focus on creative cuisine, local botanicals, healthy food and organic produce. At Folia, we make the conscious decision to use whole foods, and nourish guests for vibrant health and longevity. Coupled with a passionate and nuanced coffee program, this venue promises to be an icon in Penang dining for years to come. (Cafe/Restaurant Venue: Under 100 seats. Price Point: Mid-range)

Responsibilities:

Prepare and bake a selection of breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked items according to established recipes and production schedules.

Follow established recipes and guidelines to maintain product consistency and quality.

Ensure all baked goods meet our quality standards in terms of taste, texture, and appearance.

Make necessary adjustments to recipes as directed by the Head Chef

Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Operate and maintain baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and dough dividers.

Any other duties assigned by the management.

Requirements:

Possess minimum of 2-3 years bakery experience

Have a keen interest in nutrition and healthy food will be bonus to the role.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
