Job Description

Review and revision of the contractor’s PQP to suit specific project requirements
Review and revision of the contractor’s Inspection and Test Plan (ITP’s) related to the site developed Work Method Statements (WMS’s).
Responsible for ensuring that the contractor’s work activities are executed in accordance with the construction drawings, works specifications and related WMS.
Attend quality control and laboratory related coordination and progress meetings.
Responsible for the review of the contractor’s testing of various quarries and crusher plants to determine and assess the suitability of materials that will be used in the project as required by the specifications.
Review of the contractor’s design and trial mixes of different class or grade of concrete mixes
Review and monitoring of the contactor’s quality control procedures, inspection and documentation of grouting and piling works.
Assist the contractor’s site staff pro-actively in resolving quality issues not to affect construction progress.
Carry out supervision and witnessing of laboratory tests at the contractor’ site laboratory

Including:

Check and ensure all laboratory equipment is in good working order with valid calibration certificates
Ensure all sampling and testing is in accordance with the Project Quality Plans and to the specified Standards
Witness all tests including:
- Specified concrete tests, both conventional concrete and RCC
- Specified soil tests
