Royal Selangor is seeking creative and innovative individuals with strong problem-solving skills to join our Research and Development department. As an R&D Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in researching new manufacturing methods and processes and contributing to 3D mechanical design.

Key responsibilities:

Research new manufacturing methods and processes
Lead new product innovation initiatives
Design and engineer creative solutions, including jigs, fixtures, automation machinery, and casting dies
Ensure timely project delivery within the budget
Manage additional ad-hoc tasks and requests as assigned

Key Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
Preferably at least two (2) years of working experience in mechanical and automation design.
Knowledge in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming, Electrical, Hydraulic and Pneumatic is an added advantage.
Knowledge of 3D mechanical design, die-making and manufacturing machinery is an added advantage.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and 3D software such as Fusion 360 or Solidworks.
Ability to communicate in Mandarin is an added advantage.
