Job Summary:
The Store Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the efficient operation of the company's store or warehouse. This position involves various tasks related to receiving, storing, and distributing goods, as well as ensuring the overall cleanliness and organization of the store area .

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and Inspecting Deliveries:

Receive incoming shipments of goods, verify quantities against packing lists or purchase orders, and inspect items for damage or defects.
Record received items in the inventory management system and ensure accurate documentation.

Storing and Organizing Merchandise

Properly store received merchandise in designated locations within the store or warehouse, ensuring efficient use of space.
Organize inventory to facilitate easy access and retrieval of items, utilizing shelving, racks, or storage bins as appropriate .

Inventory Control and Stock Replenishment:

Monitor inventory levels and assist in conducting regular stock counts or cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
Identify low stock levels and initiate requests for replenishment or reordering as needed.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in warehousing or logistics is a plus
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a industrial or warehouse environment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Forklift License / skill is an advantage
