We are looking for a passionate leader to join the Supply Chain team at Arcelik Hitachi Home Appliances Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. The role involves overseeing all aspects of supply chain management, including demand planning, procurement, distribution, and logistics.

Job Description

Demand Planning and Inventory Management:

Develop and execute demand forecasting strategies to anticipate customer demand accurately.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and finance teams to gather market intelligence and input for demand planning.
Optimize inventory levels to balance customer service levels with inventory carrying costs.
Implement inventory optimization techniques such as safety stock management and reorder point calculation.

Supply Chain Service Provider Management:

Identify, evaluate, and select appropriate suppliers, manufacturers, logistics partners, and other service providers.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
Monitor supplier performance against agreed-upon KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Foster strong relationships with key suppliers and service providers to drive collaboration and continuous improvement.

Goods Distribution and Operations:

Develop and implement distribution strategies to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers while minimizing transportation costs.
Optimize warehouse operations, including layout design, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes.
Implement lean principles and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations and reduce waste.
Monitor transportation routes and modes to optimize efficiency and minimize lead times.

Control and Manage Budgets:

Develop and manage the supply chain budget, including expenses related to procurement, transportation, warehousing, and inventory management.
Track and analyze spending against budgeted targets and identify opportunities for cost savings and optimization.
Implement cost control measures to mitigate risks and ensure financial sustainability.

Team Management and Development:

Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to the supply chain team.
Set clear goals and objectives for team members and provide regular feedback and coaching.
Identify training and development needs and provide opportunities for skill enhancement and career advancement.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the supply chain team.

Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or related field
Relevant professional certifications, such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Six Sigma certification is a plus
Minimum 7 years in Supply Chain / Operations with managerial experience
Competency in Planning, Order Management and Logistics
Possess strong analytical skills to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
Ability to think strategically and develop long-term supply chain strategies aligned with organizational goals is vital.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effectively collaborating with internal stakeholders, external partners, and cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with supply chain management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant technologies is important.
Solid understanding of industry best practices, regulations, and trends related to supply chain management is important.
Great skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel are needed.
Global / regional team experience is a plus
Self-motivated, multitasking, strong attention to details, creative, positive attitude, solid work ethic, excellent organization, and ability to build cross-functional relationships, possess strong communication and teamwork skills
Adaptability, flexibility, and the ability to work in a multicultural fast-paced environment
Full responsibility experience in marketing campaign launches, project management
Advanced presentation skill is required. The ability to effectively communicate ideas, instructions, and reports is crucial
