Aluminium Company of Malaysia Berhad (ALCOM) has established itself as a prominent aluminium manufacturer in the region. With an annual output capacity of approximately 30,000 tonnes, ALCOM is the largest manufacturer of aluminium products in Malaysia and holds a substantial market share in Asia. Utilizing cutting-edge technology, ALCOM leads the way as a top producer of aluminium sheets and foil products in this part of the world.

Nearly half of ALCOM's annual production is exported to various countries such as Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, the Middle East, Korea, Australia, Europe, and South East Asia. ALCOM is proudly listed on Bursa Kuala Lumpur (KLSC) and achieved a group sales turnover of RM497 million for the financial period ended 31st March 2008. The company was originally incorporated in 1960 as Alcan Malayan Aluminium Company Ltd, and later adopted its current name in 1975.

The ALCOM Group currently comprises of Aluminium Company of Malaysia Bhd and ALCOM Nikkei Specialty Coatings Sdn Bhd (ANSC). ANSC, a subsidiary of ALCOM, made history in 1991 by becoming the first plant in the world outside Japan to produce precoated fin stock, supported by NLM technology. This remarkable achievement highlights ALCOM's dedication to innovation and technology advancement. In recognition of its overall organizational and business excellence, ALCOM was awarded the Prime Minister's Award for Industry Excellence in 2008, the highest accolade given by the Government of Malaysia.

Furthermore, ALCOM was honored with the corporate responsibility award in the "Workplace" category by StarBiz-ICR in 2010, surpassing numerous other public-listed companies. Celebrating its 50th anniversary on 18th July 2010, ALCOM has truly showcased 50 years of excellence in its operations and contributions to the industry.
