AVI (formally known as Australian Volunteers International) is an Australian not-for-profit international development agency. Since 1951, AVI has facilitated effective development outcomes working side by side with over 3,000 partner organisations, governments and community organisations in 89 developing countries. AVI is the contract holder for ACIAR’s In-Country Communication Officer Network (ICCON). ACIAR is an Australian Government agency, specialising in agricultural research-for-development. ACIAR brokers and funds research partnerships between Australian scientists and their counterparts in developing countries.
