Sibu Yu Chiong Foodstuff Distributors Sdn Bhd is established in 1990 which first started off as a Cash and Carry Store. It was a great success that many of the local residence as well as regional people visited Sibu Yu Chiong Foodstuff for their everyday grocery shopping. The company did not slow down on its success but continue to seek opportunity to evolve and grow. From traditional trading outlet, Sibu Yu Chiong has set its foot to become a modern traders that aims to offer the local residence with affordable price, quality product and premium service. The company also plans to expand their number of outlets into other regions in order to serve more people.

Sibu Yu Chiong Foodstuff Distributors Sdn Bhd then further established a wholesale marketing company, Dayet Sdn Bhd to cooperate the trading business. The Cash and Carry stores, retail in nature, advertise, expose and promote its in house agency products. The stores also act as information collector that collects legit and genuine market responses for Dayet Sdn Bhd for product and market review.

Our sales team would be on the road daily servicing the 3rd, 6th and 7th Divisions of Sarawak. These included Sibu, Sarikei, Bintangor, Selangau, Stapang, Song, Kapit, Belaga, Mukah, Balingian, Dalat, Matu, Daro, Julau and Kanowit. Within the divisions, the team service up to and including a total of 600 outlets. These includes traditional trades, modern trades, Chinese Medicine outlets, pharmacy, canteen, hospital, 7-Eleven, convenience shops, school, café, kopitiam and bakery. The sales team has daily arrangement of outlets to be visited. They are servicing the planned outlet using call cardsto efficiently record the available stock, selling price and recommended purchase orders. Dayet Sdn Bhd has also invested into the IT Programming and visioned to replace call cards with electronic devices.

Our management team is responsible for the daily operations of our Company. The management team consists of the Director, Operational Manager, Accounts, Invoicing clerk and Admin Clerk. Responsibilities are specified to each management level to ensure the delivery of speedy service and maximised sales. The management team can also access the daily sales figures to monitor the sales numbers and generate reports for monthly sales review.

Our present warehouse is able to fit in 20 (20 feet) loads of goods. The warehouse management team consists of one warehouse manager and two stock pickups. The management team works hand in hand with the warehouse management team in stock controlling, stock arrangement and stock keeping.

Dayet Sdn Bhd’s financial position is fair and healthy. The company’s yearly turnover is around eight million with current monthly debtors maintaining at around RM1, 000 000. The company also holds RM 500, 000 in its current cash accounts for daily operation use. These reports can be obtained from Hong Leong Bank Berhad.
