SSI (SMT) SDN BHD is a Regional Office based in Kuala Lumpur. Our headquarter is locatede in Germany. SSI is a scuba diving agency that certifies individuals for scuba diving activities from entry to professional levels.

Since June 1, 2010, Scuba Schools International is one of the few training agencies that qualified for a Global ISO Certification. Seven SSI Programs,five for divers and two for instructors, are certified under the International Standards – ISO *1121 for Try Scuba Diving, ISO *8401-1 to -3 for Scuba Diver to Dive Guide, ISO *1107 for Enriched Air Nitrox and *8402-1 and -2 for Dive Control Specialist and Open Water Instructor. The SSI C-Cards for the appropriate ratings will carry the ISO quality label in the future.

Over 40 Years of Experience

For over 40 years SSI has been known in the diving industry for providing high quality education and outstanding training materials for divers of all levels.

SSI was founded in 1970 and is the largest school based training agency in the world. In the Spring of 1999, SSI merged with the National Association of Scuba Diving Schools (NASDS founded in 1967) and created a new synergy in the dive industry. The sales and marketing expertise of NASDS, when joined with the renowned educational products of SSI, created a stronger company that is in a better position to serve Dive Centers & Dive Resorts, Dive Professionals and Instructors, and ultimately you, the divers. Try Scuba

Introduction to scuba diving

Many consumers may have heard about scuba diving, but can’t decide if they want to get involved in the sport. Offering SSI’s Try Scuba program is a great way for them to experience the fun of diving. Once they have tried it they’ll be hooked.

Scuba Rangers

Youth (7-12) scuba diving program

Scuba Rangers is the diving industry’s original kids scuba program. It gets them involved in scuba diving and the excitement of underwater exploration.

Scuba Rangers is a complete teaching system that includes a full color manual and DVD.

Open Water Diver

SSI’s level one diving course

People get into scuba diving for one reason — to have fun! The end goal is to make divers so comfortable & skilled, they can’t wait to go diving! The SSI Open Water Diver program includes a full-color manual, dive tables, DVD and Supplement.

Available two ways:

Home Study — Students can start their scuba education from the comfort of home.

Online — Students can start learning right away from anywhere they can get on the Internet. They can complete the academics at their own pace when it is convenient for them.

Continuing Education

SSI’s advanced level diving courses

Retaining customers is vital to your retail dive business. The SSI Continuing Education Program is designed specifically to help you with this process. These courses have been created to give divers the necessary tools to become truly skilled.

We can provide you with course materials for 12 different specialties: Boat Diving; Deep Diving; Digital Underwater Photography; Diver Stress & Rescue; Dry Suit Diving; Enriched Air Nitrox; Equipment Techniques; Navigation; Night & Limited Visibility; Science of Diving; Search & Recovery; Wreck Diving. Emergency Training

Increase customer comfort and confidence with Emergency Training. These courses are tools you can use to make sure students are prepared for any type of situation they may encounter.

These programs are offered by cooperation partners of SSI. All training programs adhere to prevailing medical guidelines published by leading medical authorities and all content is based on published medical information that meets current industry standards.
