IDEAS ACADEMY SDN. BHD.

IDEAS Academy is a UNHCR supported learning centre, committed to providing educational opportunities for underprivileged and excluded secondary school-aged children in Kuala Lumpur. IDEAS Academy offers a learning environment that uses the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, and a holistic learning approach. The Centre provides an uplifting learning environment where young people feel safe and successful as they learn and grow.

The language of instruction is English.

Ideas Academy has a colourful and diverse group of learners in terms of age (12-18), nationality, educational background and English level (low to intermediate). Ideas Academy began classes in September 2014 with the first group of 24 students. We currently have about 170 students. The Academy's academic subjects include: English, Social Studies, Math, Science, Life Skills, Visual Arts, Creativity, and Sports. Daily homework classes are provided, and there is room to unwind during the weekly movie nights and open activity time. Classes are scheduled from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Ideas Academy is funded by donations of NGO’s, companies and individuals. Fundraising is an important and integral part of our activities.
