iLaunch Sdn Bhd is 100% Malaysian company which was incorporated in July 2002. We have licenses with Ministry of Finance, Tenaga Nasional Bhd, Telekom Malaysia Bhd & PETRONAS. We have built up our good reputation in developing system solution and managing the data for some of the government agencies such as Ministry of Human Resources (MOHR), Ministry of Natural Resources & Environment (NRE), Mimos, Majlis Sukan Negara and PETRONAS PMU; Petroleum Management Unit (to name a few).
In January 2009, iLaunch has expanded its wing into Oil & Gas industry, particularly focusing in the E&P Data Management Services, by setting up its subsidary iLaunch Oil & Gas Services Sdn Bhd. As well-known all the oil companies today especially who is involved in the Exploration and Production (E&P) activities, generate huge amounts and various types of data such as seismic data, well data, G&G samples, production data, geological maps, geological models and many more. These data complexity are the major challenges because it require special subject matter experts (SME) to be combined together to come out with a proper solution that meet user requirement and expectation.
In addition to this existing market segment, in 2008 the global regulators of upstream oil and gas information, including seismic, drilling, production and reservoir data, have formed the National Data Repository (NDR) Work Group. NDRs store a vast array of data related to a country's Petroleum E&P industry resources, and since 2008 the needs of this type of integrated system solution become bigger and bigger from one year to another.
Furthermore until today, none of this type of E&P Data Management System has been develop by any Malaysia company even though the market is so big since our PETRONAS has a present at global stage.
