IMEC Education Sdn Bhd (formerly known as “Country Heights Education Sdn Bhd”)

IMEC Education Group (“IMEC”), a member of Austin Heights Education Group, is a centre of ongoing learning and education offering both professional and personal skills training as well as communication and language programs. We aim to teach crucial skills that will lead towards success and excellence not only in one’s career but also in the whole diversity of life experiences and to be an innovative learning centre that is constantly evolving to meet the demand of the market while keeping in line with our founder’s mission statement.

 

Our mission is to build awareness of the need for strong ethical values, effective communication, and multi-cultural and international understanding that enable our clients to build their own dreams and achieve their professional and personal objectives.

 

Thanks to our dedicated, caring, attentive and highly-qualified teachers we aim in IMEC to guarantee the highest standards of delivery, the Academic team creatively adapting teaching methods and resources in response to the needs of the students. With the support and dedication from the student affairs and customer services teams, we have – for the last decade - always scored above 85% in student satisfaction surveys.

 

With this enviable record, we have been able to establish a reliable brand, especially in the international market where we have attracted over 100 international agents with a wide range of nationalities who work closely with IMEC through marketing activities. In addition, IMEC signed in 2012 a collaborative agreement with the British Council to be one of its IELTS testing sites. We are proud to say that, after a survey conducted by the British Council; we were selected as one of the best English Language centres in Malaysia.

 

On January 15th 2015,  IMEC became the first satellite learning centre in Kuala Lumpur for the University of Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) which was a collaboration between the business arm of UNIMAS - UNIMAS Holdings Sdn Bhd - and Country Heights Education Sdn. Bhd. UNIMAS is the first public university in Sarawak and the eighth in Malaysia which was officially incorporated on 24th December 1992 with two pioneering faculties, but which now has eight faculties and four research institutes with a total post graduate student population of more than 5,500. This satellite learning centre is offering four (4) Post Graduate Programmes:

 

 

Furthermore, on March 17th 2015, UNIMAS officially recognized IMEC’s Intensive English Programme Level 8 as proof of English proficiency for UNIMAS programmes.

 

We are proud to announce that IMEC is among the top language centres in Malaysia that were awarded a 5 star (Excellent) rating by the Ministry of Education Malaysia according to the ‘SKIPS’ quality assurance criteria for institutions of private education [Standard Kualiti Institusi Pendidikan Swasta (SKIPS) Pusat Bahasa Tahun 2014 (valid until the end of 2016)].
