JOB PURPOSE:•To manage the international growth of the event(s), liaise with agents and/or local offices and work with the Sales Team to develop the event(s) generally, ensuring new product areas and making certain that the event is always ahead of the market it serves.•Plan and oversee the accurate and timely preparation of the show and gain relevant information with regard to sales, technical, logistics, marketing and PR aspects of the specific shows to meet and exceed agreed revenue and profit targets, whilst maximise profits.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES / RESULTS AREAS:Sales•Define and develop existing and new sales to meet agreed revenue and profit targets, whilst maximising profits.•Achieve and exceed agreed show and personal targets by direct selling to existing and new clients by carrying out sales and marketing activities as agreed with the (Deputy) Sales Director. •Ensure full understanding of customers’ businesses and requirements.•Identify new sales opportunities and develop them into long-term business relationships.•Maintain and build accurate databases to generate sales.•Refine, maintain and carry out detailed sales plans for each event and agree to schedule month by month sales for each event.•Work together with the international offices and the Sales team assigned to the relevant event(s) and to keep track of the progress of sales against agreed targets.•Sending and following up sales literature.Development•Identification of new business opportunities (new agents, business partners, new markets, new themes) and make proposals to the (deputy) sales director.•Development of marketing strategies in liaison with the Marketing Department and report this back to the (deputy) sales director.•Monitor and administer competitor events to target potential clients.Client Relationship•Build and manage successful relationships with relevant associations, national groups and embassies to assure a fruitful and long-term collaboration.•Build and maintain strategic relationships with existing key clients that result in repeat sales.•Ensure on-site customer care and re-bookings.•To handle client queries quickly and efficiently maintaining high standards of client correspondence.
