Yayasan Tuanku Nur Zahirah

Yayasan Tuanku Nur Zahirah is an NGO aimed at preserving and enhancing indigenous craft and heritage by while helping underprivileged communities in rural areas gain reasonable and sustainable income from cottage industries. As a start, it has chosen to play a pivotal role in stimulating the songket-weaving industry which has barely managed to survive amidst increasing competition, modernisation and globalisation. Run as a social business entity under the royal patronage of the reigning Raja Permaisuri Agong, it engages in activitites that include design adaptation and production, R&D, skill & knowledge transfer, quality control & enhancement and process management, as well as others that will facilitate the successful commercialisation of songket in the local and overseas markets.

While the bulk of the foundation's operations are located in Terengganu, it has a small office in Kuala Lumpur that handles key management and marketing functions.

The foundation is now looking for a Design Assistant proficient in 3D design, who will serve as an assistant to the the Creative Director - Product Design.
