Young Choral Academy

The Young Choral Academy is a music school in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, KL. We house 3 fun loving choirs, namely the Young KL SIngers, the KL Children's Choir and the Young Choral Academy Chamber Choir. We also provide individual lessons for those who are interested in vocal or piano lessons. The Young KL Singers has performed in many venues, the latest being in the Actors Studio Closing Concert at Bangsar Shopping Centre. They have also performed at KLPac, and at various high profile functions and gigs. The KL Children's Choir is also no stranger to the limelight - their latest performance was with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra at the prestigious Dewan Filharmonik Petronas. We are a fast growing organisation. Besides training the 3 choirs, we are also the organisers of the annual Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod - a 5 day music competition and festival that pulls together various school choirs and individual participants from around Malaysia and South East Asia. We are also in the midst of putting together a teachers training program, by means of the Australian Kodaly Certification Program. This will materialise by the end of 2009. Thus we are looking for a dedicated and committed Administrator who is able to handle the day to day running of the school - someone who preferably knows and has interest in music and music education. It will be a 5 day week over weekends. If successful, this person will be joining a fun-loving, fast growing music community which is dedicated in enriching the lives of others through singing!
