ZENXIN ORGANIC FOOD RETAIL SDN. BHD.

In 2001, Zenxin starts venturing into organic farming and established Zenxin Agri-Organic Food. It all begins with an initiative to turn chicken farm waste into organic fertilizer for the sister company, Zenxin Agriculture Sdn Bhd that specializes in poultry farming.

With the good foundation of organic fertilizer factory, Zenxin was invited to join the Modern Farming Project by Ministry of Agriculture, Malaysia. It was given a chance to rent a plot of land to start its own farm in Johor and also in Gua Musang, Kelantan. The total size of 220.6 acres has increased the offering of organic vegetables to almost 80 variety, making Zenxin the leading organic grower and distributors of organic fruits and vegetables in Malaysia and Singapore.

Since year 2008, Zenxin organic compost factory, Zenxin organic farms, packing facilities and its food processing plant, are certified by the National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia (NASAA). Zenxin’s entire production chain strictly complies with the Australia Organic Standard. In other words, consumers are assured that their food supply chain is secured under stringent international organic standards. Annual inspection is carried out to ensure this compliance is upheld.  

The company has also started “Zenxin Organic Grower Initiative” since 2008, to recruit more local farmers to join in the force in promoting organic farming.

To date, 30 farmers join and a total of more than 170 acres of farmland has now converted to organic farms under the programs and a total of about 360 acres organic farmland are recorded under the NASAA Organic certificate of Zenxin Organic Food.

The system demonstrates how organic farming benefits talented farmers with modern agricultural knowledge by providing them stable and higher income.    

In 2010, Zenxin has founded its sister brand “Simply Natural” amidst the demand of its customers on the complete organic range for their daily consumption. The premium quality organic dried goods are sourced from organic farms around the world that shared the same vision in organic farming.

Few years ago, Zenxin Organic food expands its operation in organic food-processing to manage the increasing supply of organic fresh produce. The end products include organic handmade noodles and organic tea. The processing facilities is awarded ISO*2000 and HACCP since 2019

As an extension of the food business, Zenxin has started its agro-tourism business since 2008, when one of its biggest organic farm, Zenxin Organic Park was made a tourist spot for public. The park provides first hand experience on how farmers practice organic farming and how organic farming helps in maintaining the diversity of ecology.  

Zenxin Travel, another entity of Zenxin Agri-Organic Food started operating premium food-focused tours for general public just 2 years ago. It aims to provide a more insightful experience on how Zenxin sources and connects with organic farmers around the world and how the local food experts appreciate food in a way uniquely local.  

Today, there are close to 100 types of organic fresh produce under Zenxin Organic brand and another 300 organic and natural products under Simply Natural brand. Both brands are available in 14 Zenxin’s retail outlets around Malaysia and Singapore and over 150 supermarkets and retail shops scattering around both countries. Its organic delivery business is growing organically in both markets.    

And the story of the real organic food purveyor goes on and on.
