This challenging yet exciting role puts you in the driving seat of our efforts to build and maintain an environmentally sustainable, healthy and safe workplace. You’ll provide safety support to all projects, ensuring they all meet our own established standards and that of local safety regulations.
Specifically, you’ll conduct safety review meetings with project and design team at the initial stage of the project. As well, you’ll ensure that all high-risk activities have proper safety work method statement (SWMS). Additionally, you’ll promote workplace safety by performing site inspections, risk reports, timely safety-related corrections, and weekly safety meetings. You’ll also constantly coordinate with the project manager and operations manager to ensure that everybody will be out of harm’s way.
Provide technical guidance on safety & health requirements, including proposing measures based on hierarchy of controls
Provide support to college level safety & health programmes and processes, including Secretariat for Department and College level S&H committee meetings
Manage laboratory commissioning and decommissioning

Possess more than 7 years of working experience preferably in manufacturing environment and at least 3 years’ experience in OSH managerial roles. Those with working experience in Polymer/Chemical/Petrochemical/Oleochemical Plant and ISO Certified Manufacturing Company is an added advantage.
Inspect and evaluate the environment, equipment and processes in working areas to ensure compliance with our customer requirements, government EHS regulations and applicable industry standards.
Familiar with ISO 14001 and 45001 application process and co-lead our organization to obtain these two ISO certifications by 2Q2022. Candidate is responsible to develop EHS operational handbook, best practices, processes (e.g. SOP & EOP), etc. and implement on site.

Conduct and maintained HIRARC analysis across the premise
