About Loon Sing Group of Restaurant
Chef Sia Say Tee of Loon Sing Restaurant began his culinary journey at the age of 10, learning cooking skills from his father. Seeking greater expertise, he ventured to Singapore, mastering Cantonese cuisine initially, then delving into the art of Dim Sum at another renowned eatery.
After honing his craft, Chef Sia returned to Bukit Pelandok to support his father-in-law's restaurant. Eventually, he established his own eatery, focusing on authentic Fuzhou cuisine. His dedication was such that he traveled daily, spanning 20 kilometers to Seremban for fresh ingredients, resulting in Loon Sing's rise to fame.
The restaurant's acclaim grew, emphasizing quality by now exclusively catering to reserved orders. Notably, the 2nd International Hokkien Gathering Dinner, graced by VIP guest Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr. Mahathir Mohd., showcased Loon Sing's prowess. Chef Sia, with over 40 years of culinary experience, remains committed to learning, viewing competition as a means of personal growth.
