Job Title: Holistic Nutritionist (Contract)
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Holistic Nutritionist to join our team on a contract basis. The primary objective of this role is to provide personalized nutritional guidance and support to clients seeking to improve their mental well-being. We are not looking for conventional nutritionists rather, we need professionals who can integrate nutritional strategies that complement our clients' journey towards holistic health.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with our team of psychologists and counsellors to integrate nutritional interventions into clients' overall treatment plans.
Conduct thorough nutritional assessments to understand clients' dietary habits, health goals, and mental health concerns (online).
Develop customized nutrition plans that support mental well-being and address specific challenges such as stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental disorders.
Educate clients about the impact of nutrition on mental health and provide guidance on incorporating nutrient-rich foods into their diet.
Offer ongoing support and accountability to clients as they implement dietary changes and work towards their wellness goals.
Monitor clients' progress and make adjustments to nutrition plans as needed to optimize outcomes.
Stay informed about current research and best practices in holistic nutrition and mental health care.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss client cases and coordinate care.
Requirements:
Degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field from an accredited institution.
Registered Nutritionist with the Singapore Nutrition and Dietetics Association (SNDA).
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a nutritionist, preferably in a clinical or mental health setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of the connection between nutrition and mental health, as well as experience implementing dietary interventions for mental well-being.
Able to commit to a minimum of 10 consultation sessions per week.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
Commitment to providing evidence-based, client-centered care and adhering to ethical guidelines.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays, to accommodate client schedules.
Passion for holistic wellness and a genuine desire to support individuals on their journey to better mental health through nutrition.
Possession of valid working permits that allow employment in Singapore.
